I’ve had a soft spot for stationery 🖋️ as long as I can remember. Something about September and getting things ready for ‘back to school’ was exciting. As an adult now with occasionally disposable income I’ve been able to experiment with what has now become a fountain pen-ink-paper hobby. Plus opening up a world of analog planning. Here is my journey, as I remember it:

The journey

• First fountain pen: Parker Vector (ok, if small). Had some in school, then forgotten till my graduate job.
• First ‘cool’ fountain pen: Lamy Safari, spotted one used by a director.
• Then I got into bottled ink…cheaper by volume and more sustainable! Parker Quink for a while 🤷‍♂️.
• First ‘fancy’ fountain pen: Pelikan M200…or was it a Cross Century Classic 🤔? Maybe the latter was first.
• First hobbyist pen: TWSBI Vac 700. Great writer!
• Got a few ink bottles and samples.
• And then…things sort of exploded from there 😳.
