The word that sums up this week is: reframing. A top moment for me was sitting in the bay window near our flowering grapefruit tree, reading The Atlantic with our cat 🐈⬛ on my lap.
- 🧠 Understanding: how helpful reframing can be to help me handle a tough week at work.
- 🧶 Creating & cultivating: Finished the bed I was making!
- 📺 Consuming: Pancake 🥞 breakfast with the family in an American-themed diner.
- 🔆 Connecting: Actually felt good to develop some work-related connections this week. Reading The Hobbit to my 7-year old. Emailing a childhood friend after a year!
- 🏹 One thing for future self: Don’t let your work-home boundary slip more than it has.
- 💖 Something I’m looking forward to next week: Monday off work 🥳
I’ve been forging a new morning routine that reframes my work situation with a dose of intentionality (per last week’s note) and a reminder that I am not alone, and that I have a better story to live. It’s been really helpful to know that I have my quiet space before the workday craziness.
