I feel like taking a break today from my regular week notes. Instead, I am sharing the symbols I use in my notebooks 📔 to organise as I go. Yes, it is something I have given much thought to 😳. There are a lot of options out there for bullet journal symbols if you’re hunting around.
# SYMBOLS (this is an example second-level heading)
• Bullet point / item. Used for most things in my notebook.
— TASK SYMBOLS (third level heading example)
• Tasks are circles because they are easy to spot in a large page of text. For some of these you’ll have to imagine it is a circle instead of brackets, with the lines passing to the outside of the circle (so, like the London Underground symbol for migrated task).

— OTHER SYMBOLS
• The symbols below always go to the left of a bullet or task circle.
| • (Line in margin) Note to self. This is something not part of the topic or not discussed in the meeting. Often this is something for me to ask or bring up. It goes left of the symbols below as well, so I can have 3 symbols together in the margin.
> • Point of note / summary statement.
! • Important
This took me much longer than it should have to get the code looking right(ish). I might as well of written it out and scanned it in. I might just do that sometime.
