Catching up a bit on week notes, I’ll selectively combine this week and last. The word that sums up w34 was survival, and week is: connections. An interesting mix of connection this week (from family to colleagues) and yet longing for deeper friendships that I can’t seem to conjure.
A top moment for me was a day where I had the kids to myself and went to an adventure playground. Also got a new laptop at work 💻. Something I’m looking forward to next week is the kids starting school.
My week headlines
🧠 Understanding: A possible idea for a men’s walking group (courtesy of the Pirate Monk Podcast).
🧶 Creating & cultivating: Gravel paths. So much gravel 🪨.
📺 Consuming: Cocktails with my wife. I tried and failed with a margarita 😳. Arve Henriksen: I’ve not heard 🎺 trumpet played like that before ❤️.
🔆 Connecting: 🍕 pizza with colleagues at a lunch & games session at work, lot’s of laughter. Visiting family ‘up north’ for a great Sunday picnic.

🏹 One thing for future self: refer to a ‘simple truths’ page each day.
